Conrad: Nice ST, but the picture quality itself is pretty bad... unfocused, lack of contrast, easy to tell it was taken with a low pixel count CCD like those found in a cell phone.

LG is selling a 3 megapixel phone in Korea. That's better resolution than my full-sized digital camera. Those phones will be sold here, probably by Christmas.

I'm not sure Darin, but while searching to answer your question, I came accross this 7 megapixel phone. I guess the storage capability doesn't matter much when you can just send the photo over your wireless connection to wherever you want.

Nelson: sure it matters if you are in a wireless dead zone like the bottom of the Grand Canyon. I'd want the option to dump the pics into a memory card and not be tied to a wireless carrier to get my saved pictures.

I guess cameras in cell phones have their uses - for those that want them. But I don't want one in my phone (although I now have one that I will never use.) I don't want a cell phone that plays iPod music, or one that takes video or acts like a PDA. I want a cell phone that is just that - a phone. And for less than $60 so I don't have to renew my contract at a steeper rate or pay $180+ every time I need a new phone because the old one crapped out.
