After searching for a couple weeks for decks for my 05 ST i decided to go with the Power Acoustik PTID-6500. I was wondering if anyone has gotten one of these or something like this installed. Was it hard to do? If you took it to a audio store was it expensive?

Never heard of that brand. What are the real specs? (Signal to noise, frequency response, etc).

And remember you may have to do a little work to get ia double din to fit in your Trac.

Tom is right what are the real specs. Appears to be a store brand. But it might be a good unit.

Not a store brand. They're just not a very big brand. They used to be great, but are kinda crappy now. Best Buy used to/still does sell a few of their amps and subs.

The last time I checked, Crutchfield says that a double din will fit.

But they could be wrong.

Go to crutchfield.com, put in your vehicle and it will show everything that fits. ;)

they are a brand that got a half decent name for itself and then used that tio market crappy equipment for quite awhile.... I have a friend that has one similar to it and the first one crapped out in a month but the warranty replacment has been working fine for him

Hey Big D did your friend say it was hard to install? Did he doi it himself or take it to a audio shop to be installed and if so how much was it? Thanks

I have the Clarion MAX675VD and all i needed was the wire adapter/harness and i also got the explorer metra double din kit. did it myself no problem:
