My wife is filling out a baby book for our son, who was born April 5. She's reached a page where she's supposed to list "current news headlines". I've been doing some websearches trying to find what would have been the big news those days (needless to say, I was a bit distracted by everything else that was going on to notice), but so far am not finding anything that would be appropriate.



Does anyone know of any sites (that are free) that I can easily get some info on the main headlines (national, international, and/or local--I'm in Minneapolis, MN), either for that specific day, or even generally in the month of April?

Thanks Coastie--although that site doesn't seem to be up-to-date with the last few years yet. The only "news headlines" it shows for April 2006 have to do with astrology.
