You're a sick senior citizen and the government says there is no nursing home available for you. So what do you do?



Our plan gives anyone 65 years or older a gun and 4 bullets. You are allowed to shoot four Politicians.



Of course, this means you will be sent to prison where you will get three meals a day, a roof over your head, central heating, air conditioning and all the health care you need!



Need new teeth? No problem. Need glasses? Thats great. Need a new hip, knees, kidney, lungs or heart? Theyre all covered.



As an added bonus, your kids can come and visit you as often as they do now.



And who will be paying for all of this? Its the same government that just told you that you they cannot afford for you to go into a home.



And you can get rid of 4 useless politicians while you are at it.



Plus, and because you are a prisoner, you don't have to pay any income taxes anymore.

On a serious note...When my class was going through clinicals, my roommate chose to do an elective rotation doing primary care at a CT prison. What he discovered is...well...I dont even have the word for it. There is a new drug out for Hepatitis (liver infection that is contracted sexually or by contact with contaminated blood) that is more effective than other treatments at this time. This drug is now the best treatment for the disease. All prisoners with Hepatitis now receive this drug which is incredibly expensive. So expensive that us, not incarcerated, even with insurance would have a very difficult time getting this drug. Insurance companies don't want to pay for it because there are other less expensive, but not as effective, medications :fire: ! and if you don't have insurance...good luck paying for it out of pocket!

Gary, very funny, but the inherent flaw in that plan is that if enough seniors were to do that, we'd soon kill off all the existing politicians, which may result in newcomers coming to Washington who would see the lunacy in this system and actually fix it, resulting in the seniors who pursued your plan losing all the benefits you just listed...

Well you've got local and state level politicians as well as the federal ones. Then you go after the lobbyists, lawyers and all those sub-commitees and departments that are redundant. There is a whole mess that needs to be shot. Then we can go after whoever we want, undocumented trespassers in our country, the U.N. needs to go too! And finally all of the labor unions. We have enough laws on the books to protect our workers that they really are no longer needed. Unions once served a vital part of the development of labor laws. Now they just collect your money with very little in return. This way, salaries can come down to more realistic levels, jobs will then be available as manufacturers will find a way to bring jobs back here. Now things are looking more positive. And the last thing, No more foreign aid and bring all of our troops back to protect us! But I digress, enough ranting. Bob
