New oil pressure switch

Well ,I replaced the oil pressure switch on engine. Nothing changed ,the gauge is still dead. I read somewhere that besides the gauge if you actually lose oil pressure an idiot light comes on. If this is true I'll go on to other projects on my ST for the time being. Would someone be kind enough to let me know if this is true?

Normally if it has a check gage light.....



Test the wiring by turning on the truck, DO NOT START it.... Have some one sit int he truck and take the wire off the sender and touch it to the engine or frame.. OR take a wire and jump it from the switch wire to ground...



The gage should PIN it self at High pressure...



IF not, You have a wiring issue or a bad gage..
