new shocks and warentee

Does anyone know if replacing the stock shocks will void warentee?



This is what the person at my local Kragen said.



And that Rancho does not make shocks for an 05 ST...



(Can someone give me the part numbers for RSX for front and rears?)

no it will not void it and it is the same shocks as the other years

Ford will not fix the Rancho shocks if they fail. The warranty will only not apply on the shocks.

As Caymen said, Ford will not warranty the Rancho shocks, or any aftermarket part but it will not void your warranty on the remainder of the vehicle.



Do a search on the "Magnuson-Moss" warranty act. It clearly states that Manufacturers cannot void your warranty for aftermarket parts unless they will replace those parts for free during the life of the warranty. Things like filters, brakes, shocks, etc are considered wear items that have minimal or no warranty and you are free to use any aftermarket brand. If the aftermarket parts cause damage, Ford must be able to prove that the parts caused the problem and cannot void your warranty on the rest of the vehicle.
