OE Motorcraft SP-500 (AGSF22FM) Finewire Platinum. Only spark plug for 2001-05 I've never read a single complaint about.

Check .054" gap carefully and you're good for another 75,000 miles minimum. I know most O'Reilly's stock them for around $5 each.

Unless something has changed in the last few years that I am unaware of ….. you should never change the gap of a platinum fine wire plug. You can damage the finwire tip and or cause the platinum coating to flake at the bend on the ground electrode. A quality plug should come “pre gapped” for the application. Always check the gap before installing, if they are not what you want or extremely close (you have a daily driver not a race truck) then return them for another that is what you want.
Getting bounced around or dropped at the parts store can close the gap if the ground electrode is hit. It doesn’t take much to change .001”.
