No heat help please

I have a 2001 ford explorer sport trac. Im still new to all of this.I had my heater core replaced, because I had fumes and smell coming through vents inside. There is no smell but my heat is still not working. What do I need to do?

check your Thermostat,, burp your cooling system,,, may be air trapped,, stopping flow to heater core.

Does HeaterControlValve (under alternator on right inlet to pump) rotate on\off with Cab Heat on\off?
If it does, do both inlet hose & return hose at firewall to HeaterCore get hot?
If valve rotates on\off ok, but both hoses don't get hot, either an air bubble or clogged HeaterCore.
If both hoses get hot, could be broken\disconnected vane controller on the duct behind glove box?
Do you have any coolant leaks on your garage floor?
Has ThermoStat been replaced new recently?

If the heater worked properly (aside from the smell) prior to you replacing it. You probably have an airbound cooling system. If you don't have the tool to "suck" the air out of the system, you will need to manually remove heater hoses and fill them individually with coolant. Usually the heater core is the culprit, it's not easy to remove the air from the system without the proper tools.

Were you able to find the problem with your heat?
