I saw on your cardomain profile that you have a shallow pioneer sub installed in your trac. I am planning on getting one. I was wondering if you could tell me what you think about yours and if its a good idea for me to get it or not.

I like mine....but it is NOT a Huge BOOM like a normal set of 10's would be. It is just enough to make it sound a little better. Very clean sounding too....and in expensive!

Pioneer Shallow 10" Sub (100-300w RMS) P3SD210 $89

Pioneer GM-7300M Amp (250w x 1 @ 4 ohm)(360w x 1 @ 2 ohm) $74

Pioneer 10" Sub Box $111

TOTAL = $275

Clay - in all honesty, i have not heard too many good things about the Pioneer Shallow mount. i did some research about this before picking up my kickers. the kickers aren't like a normal 0 either, but they hit more lows that the pioneer or clarion (who are in the same price point)

I've done research, much the same as RS, and that is what the general consensus is. The Kicker subs seem to be not only the most popular for shallow mount applications but they have some of the best reviews out there.

Check out caraudio.com. The guys on this site are pretty serious about their sound systems and they have some excellent information regarding Kickers and Pioneer shallow mounts.

I pick their brains pretty often.

I looked at both the Kicker option and the Rockford Fosgate subs....I agree those are the BETTERR Option, but I would have had to pay out a lot more money to make it work. I was looking to get teh best sound for CHEAP. I in no way will say that my system will beat teh Kicker or RF.....but it does sound good! and it was cheap.

I had the 2 8" RF Subs in my old 2004 ST and they sounded good too....but too much bass for me. I'm NOT the type to install 12" subs or dual 10" subs to get teh rattle your brain effect. Plus I wanted to be able to flod down my rear seats so I needed something that would go behind my seats and not under. But to this day I have yet to fold them down for any reason!?

noc. the model number you post after your sub description is a rockford sub. and dingo since you push the p3s so much. i think im gonna look into them now. but was really trying to fit a twelve in there but two tens will do just as good of a job.. even better most likely. but one 12 would be cheaper than two 10
