Not a Good Way to Start the Day

I hope this was not one of us. I rolled up on this accident early this morning just minutes after it happened. The accident occurred just north of downtown Cumming, GA which is about an hour north of Atlanta. Grabbed my camera out of my laptop bag and snapped these quick pics:

Another rollover. It is amazing the high percentage of posts here about accidents that involve a rollover.

looks more like it just tiped over, hard to tell if it rolled a few times... The accident doesn't look all to serious. I hope everyone walked away...

I know that intersection well. Not the easiest to navigate at times. I still cannot figure out how that happened. Notice the truck is resting against the stop sign. My guess is a roll combined with a 180 spin.

Hmmm...... I can only think of two rollovers posted here in the recent past. One is this one (which looks more like a "fall over", the other is Steve who admitted his own fault. At least he had the sense to drive like a dummy in a field and not on the road and his ST rolled because he made it roll.



Am I wrong, or has it been a while since we've read about and/or seen any rollover posts?



I realize that the ST when manuevered aggressively will roll, but don't throw such a stigma on it. Even if it is a true accident, and the ST does roll, you know you'll be a lot safer than if you were in a small hatchback meeting the business end of an Excursion or F350 at about bumper-to-head level.

I am fortunate to live some place that has no Excursions and F-350s. My car is bigger than over half the vehicles on the road in Poland.

:lol: Yes, that is very true. I bet if you would have kept the ST and brought it over there, you would have scared the crapola out of most people on the road, then again you'd also be broke with gas prices (as you mentioned earlier).

In the second photo something looks wrong with the passanger side rear door. Maybe the bottom half of it is punched in from impact with the van. It does look like more of a tip than a roll and there are no skid marks on the pavement. I saw a rolled early model Expedition a few years ago, there were skid marks and debris all over the road. Could have been worse but still not a good way to start your day.

It almost looks like the ST, for lack of a better statment, "got it's legs knocked out from under it".

My Sport Trac is never under the influence of either drugs or alcohol! It has been speeding, though.
