Ford 4-Trac concept

Thailand is the world's second largest market for pick-ups after the United States. It is in the nation's capital, Bangkok, that Ford has decided to unveil their 4-Trac concept at the Thailand International Motor Expo. Using the 'Built Ford Tough' philosophy, the 4-Trac blends ruggedness and sophistication to increase its appeal as workhorse and family car respectively. Outside, aluminium panels keep corrosion to a minimum, the body fronted by a dominant three-bar grille bearing a large blue oval. At the back, the cargo area has storage units inspired by off-shore racers, and is accessible from within the cabin. The 4-Trac concept is presented in lustrous red paint with a 'rescue' theme, with numerous tie-down points and foldable tow-hooks and a winch at the front.

I like it but don't like it at the same time. I don't like the LED look and the way it looks like a ridgeline or whatever from the side angle view. I like the front and the tow hooks. I have no clue what is going on in that bed area tho its all confusing. Maybe its just me.

yep that side angle pic...too Ridgline ...it's that silver..it's gotta go, and put the ST rear window back in it. I agree with ya Roger, the bed storage & the functional gate as well. A+ on those things. If the headlights strobe then I like them

LED technology has greatly improved in the past few years; LED headlights and taillights will become more commonplace. You should see the breakthroughs made in flashlights nowadays... they make flashlights now that are smaller than a 2AA Maglight that put out more light and have 10x the battery life of a 3D Mag. 10,000 hour emitter life of a LED as well.

I just purchased a Fenix L1P flashlight that puts out 28 lumens, runs on a single AA battery which will run for about 1.5 hours to 50% output.

Imagine never, ever having a dashlight bulb burn out?

I think it's built off a mini-truck frame, not a fullsize. The roads over in Thailand aren't nearly as accomodating as ours, and a fullsize (F150) would simply be too big. When the concept was first shown a few months ago, the dimensions were given, and it's smaller then the ST is now, and more along the lines of a Ranger in size.
