O/D light blinking

ok so the light started blinking on my drive home, pulled over and shut down after restart the light was gone. is it ok and what could have made it do this? thanks

Normally the sign of a problem....



Since you have an 02, it is more then likely the solenoid pack or valvbody gasket is going..



It is NOT recommended you drive the truck, it can cause more damage... ALSO the code was cleared when you shut the truck off, so the repair shop can not scan the computer to read the code..

The tech found old codes; improper ratio in 5 or overdrive

03 with 79K: I had the pan dropped, little bit of metal, I got a new filter, EPC adjustment, and a trans flush.

EPC makes the trans last longer, but/and firms up the shifts, keeps converter heat down.



no problems since the work and 3K miles.
