Sadly it is true. The first one about the billowing smoke was actually on CNN. The photographer that took it will no longer be able to submit pics. We to do not subscribe to any newspaper and I personally attempt to limit TV news viewing.
Just always go with what you really know! That's the rule. We really live in a messed up world full of violent happenings. Does it really matter what they do to a photo to get a point across. I've seen a lot of bad bad stuff happen. (as have quite a few others, service men and women in particular). Good photographers do not have to implement to get the point across do they? I guess we really don't want to look to deep at these things. I gave up horror films years ago. Too life like with todays world. And IMO the goings on are giving too many people bad ideas. example some screwball threw little kittens here in Mass. into a hot griddle.
