So after my rad blew up a few mos back, used TFE silicone paste on the tranny fittings, has always served me well on any sort of fitting (gas, steam, water, whatever)

They all started to leak at the rad, removed, replaced with teflon tape, leaks solved.

But I have oil stains on my driveway, drives me nuts.

used simple green, pressure washed, TSP, nothing seems to work, any ideas?

Home Depot or Lowe's sell some stuff that works pretty good. Gets most of it off and time will take care of the rest.

I have always used Liquid laundry detergent straight and scrub with a broom, then hose off...

IF not this crazy stuff is amazing !!!!

We've used muriatic acid to clean driveways and other concrete. Usually gets off just about anything. Can get it at most home improvement joints (Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.)

Pour gas onto the stain, cover the gas with oil absorb (kitty litter works).

Let it sit there for about 10 minutes. Do NOT sweep it away or try to work it into the gas, just let it sit there for 10 minutes. Then, sweep it up and you will be shocked.

You can re-use the oil absorb a few times but each time it gets dirtier and dirtier and losses it performance to pick up the dirt...

Whatever you do, DO NOT USE MURIATIC ACID! It removes the stain by removing the concrete! If not properly cleaned up, it will continue to deteriorate and destroy your concrete! It used to be used by the concrete drivers here to remove the concrete from thier rigs, until the local jurisdiction and EPA managed to get them to stop.

Thx all

carb cleaner gets rid of most of it, than I made a slurry of powdered laundry detergent.

coverd that overnight with cardboard.

washed all off and the stains are 95% gone:banana:

Bill, sent you an email, was worried you would use the muriatic acid. Didn't see that you had already done some stuff using more acceptable methods. Good luck with the rest!

My ex stoped by yesterday. Tran cooler on her '08 escape leaking on the drive. Took 1 1/2 qt to top it off. She droped it at the dealer today.

Gary S, keep an eye on yours. It is a known problem since '08 model. Ford must have changed vendors for the trans cooler.
