Ok, you seemed to like the scrambled words SOOOO much I thought I would throw these out to you.

We have answered all but a few. Here is what is left.

Only one president served two full terms and yet served 57 days short of eight years? Who and why?

The cause of death for one president is still a "mystery", who?

Only one president was born on a holiday, who and what holiday?

Only one president married a woman with the same last name, who?

The only vice president that was not of the same party of the president (except at time of the civil war), who?

We have time on these ones as it is not due until Friday...

Thanks, have fun.

(I am leaving for Portugal about noon, I will check in when I can).

George Washington, Presidents Day. Or does the holiday already have to be 'there'? Just thinking outside the box, WAY outside. :D

That one is confusing as he was born on the February 22. However, on January 1, 1971 the federal holiday was shifted to the third Monday in February by the Uniform Monday Holiday Act. A draft of the Uniform Holidays Bill of 1968 would have renamed the holiday to Presidents' Day to honor both Washington and Lincoln, but when signed into law on June 28, 1968 simply moved Washington's Birthday.

So I am guessing there is a better answer as this one has like 4 dates as options based upon what year you look at it.

????

The cause of death for one president is still a "mystery", who? Harding

Only one president married a woman with the same last name, who? Franklin Roosevelt

Only one president was born on a holiday, who and what holiday? Calvin Coolidge July 4, 1872

Only one president served two full terms and yet served 57 days short of eight years? Who and why? George Washington, because the first-term inaugural was postponed because the U.S. Congress had not properly convened.

There's a chunk...

It is a chunck, thanks...

That leaves;

The only vice president that was not of the same party of the president (except at time of the civil war), who?

The only thing I can think of on that one is George Washington. He was part of no political party, but his VP, John Adams, was a member of the newly formed Federalist party (Washington remained outside of political parties, as he hoped that there would never be parties established in the first place).

Abraham Lincoln was President during the Civil War and his VP was Andrew Johnson

Ironicly, Thomas Jefferson, who wrote the Declaration of Independnce, die on July 4th

...Rich

Does it need to be "real" presidents? Because on "Commander in Chief", I'm pretty sure that Geena Davis's character was vice-president to a president from a different party. He then died in the first episode, making her the president...

From Wikipedia:
In the election of 1796, for instance, Federalist John Adams came in first, and Democratic-Republican Thomas Jefferson came second. Thus, the president and vice president were from different parties

I think this is what you are looking for.
