Well, I am the proud new owner of a 2007 Ford Focus. I took delivery of the car last night, but brought it in today to get a few extras done to it. I went ahead and had them completely detail the car again, as I was not satisfied with the clean-up that was done after delivery, and I had them rotate and balance the tires since it had been on the lot for a little while. All-in-all, I am pleased. It's not a luxury sedan, but it suits every need I have.
I drove straight from the dealer to work today, 30 miles of highway, and was very pleased with the performance, easy handling, and surprisingly smooth ride. I had read that some people complained about it being noisey to drive, but compared to my ST, I have no complaints. For what I paid, I think I got a heck of a deal.
As soon as i get home, I'll clean it up and take some pictures. I took out a small colony of love bugs on the way to work, so I want to make it look nice before the pictures.
Thanks again to everyone for the advice and well wishes. I will still be driving the ST to run near-by errands and to take the boats out, but I think I'll actually enjoy driving the focus to and from work.
