OT: HT Question

On the new recievers with HDMI if I input both a HDMI signal and a composite (or any analog signal) will it still output the video via the HDMI (at lower res of course)



Scenario.. I want to run my Set Top Box (HDMI), into a receiver, along with my xbox in (orginal xbox so composite video only with my setup) and have them both output/switched through the receiver to my projector via HDMI.

Only if your receiver has up-converting.



Of all the ones we sell these days, we make sure that they have a video output with up-converting, so the consumer just leaves the input on one setting, i.e. HDMI 1 or 2. Less button pushing for them.

so I would need a receiver that has HDMI upconverting? Those are some dollars...
