Special thanks to Adam (AdamCKach) and his girlfriend Karen for making the trip up from Philly area to our house in the burb's in Bucks Co, PA.

Adam picked up the all-weather mats from my ST (that I no longer have) and we talked and enjoyed getting to know each other as the sun set on the back deck of our house.

Adam got to drool over the Pacifica too. It would have been nice to talk more, but I had to make it to the dealer to pick up the new Focus before closing.

Special thanks to Karen for playing frisbee with our 6yo daughter.

It's really great to get to know people through this website.

Yeah. Just the other week I met a fellow member who happened to be in town, and we hung out at Buffalo Wildwings for a few hours just chatting and watching sports...I can't wait for the next national meet. I guess it's about time to start the countdown...

13 months and counting.

Just taking a minute to echo Tom's sentiments--it was a pleasure to visit and put a face to a name and to get to know his wife and daughter--she's a sweetheart. For being in an apartment for the last four months (well, a majority thereof), it was great to get outside and enjoy the early warmth.

The Pacifica, as Tom mentioned, is really nice. And, the interior--talk about sparing no comfort feature. That'd be a great car for long road trips. Next time I'll have to see this Focus I keep hearing about... :D

And, the mats are great, too. Now, just to get the ride washed and waxed. As Tom can tell you, I take each scratch personally...

Thanks again, Tom.

Ironicly enough, I have met three members outside of a meet from my area.

One was from Mansfield and actually found this website from the sticker on the back of my Trac. He has since sold his Trac and now drives a Jeep...or something.

Another lived in Stow, Ohio, just a few minutes north of me. He has since sold his Trac and now drives a Chevy Silverado.

Another is Chuck B from Cleveland. He sold us a set of "Back Country" nerf bars for my wifes Explorer. He is really a cool guy.

This is not the first time I have met people off the internet and some of us are good friends.

I belong to a few Escort/Escort GT/323 GTX mailing lists.

While I was in Europe, one guy invited me to visit him and his wife is Wiesbaden, Germany. We went for a ride in his 1992 Mazda 323 GTX with a GTR engine in it. On the way to his village, outside Wiesbaden, we raced a Porsche 911...and won.

Another time, I was working in Michigan and me up with a guy from there. We sat around Hooters in Grand Rapids, drank a little beer, and had a good time.

Two other Escort owners were from my area and we meet up once in a while. One of the two is a Photographer and even took pictures at our wedding.

Another guy was from Youngstown, Ohio. He graduated from YSU as a master of music, performance Violin. He has since moved to Minneapolis, MN. We still call each other and send emails back and forth.

On Saturday, June 30, 2007 Theresa and I are going to Nelson Ledges Road Course to be part of his "pit Crew" while he races his 1992 Escort GT ITA car.

I actually met my wife playing a videogame on the internet. Wasn't even in the market for a girlfriend. Can't even tell you how it exactly happened, but we are married now.

When you tell people you invited someone you met on the internet over, they think you are crazy.

Honestly, they are just like most people. Hard working, honest, good people.
