anyone out there ever built a Playhouse for the outdoors? Looking to build a 2-3 child house for my daughters to play in. I am looking to put this up in the air about 4 feet with a small slide for an exit. Anyone ever setup something similar from scratch?

thanks in advance....sorry to bring a girlie request in such a macho setting but i am desparate to get this project going. I have been saying it for 2 years.

Are you kidding? If I was close enough, I'd help ya'! I'm hoping to get around

to building a "Play Garage" for my two grandsons this summer.

By the way, anyone know where I can get a Craftsman Garage Door Opener

in 1/3 scale?!?!;)

I built a monster one from plans I bought from planitplay.com. Four swings, two-level fort (a 4'x6' section that is 5' high, and a 6'x6' section that is 7' high), rock wall, rope climb, huge slide, and lots more. It's great!

Before building, I did a lot of shopping around, particularly looking at the quality of the instructions you're purchasing. Plan-it-play's were by far the best out there--I've never seen instructions written so clearly and logically in my life, ANYWHERE. To the point I was seriously tempted to try to hire away their main instruction writer to come write manufacturing procedures for my employer.

Check them out! They have lots of sizes and styles! Ours is their "Frontier" set, but the plans are very easy to modify if you desire, and we did a ton of them!

And by the way--There's lumber involved. There's power tools. There's hardware. How can you consider any of that to be "girlie"??? Arrrr-Arrr-Arrr!!!!!!

We used to build some rather big insulated dog houses for our Airdales a few years back. The designs could be modified to be a playhouse too. We built everything off of a simple 4x8 plywood template.

Here are pics of the one my kids use.

You go from any price, from low to "you got to be kidding". Here is a picture if it works and if not here is a link to the company in CA.

This is the "You Have Got To Be Kidding" & "You Got To Have A Lot OF Money"!
