After suffering with a severe headache for days, the aneurysm in your brain bursts, killing you instantly.

That's what I was told. That figures, the headaches are going to kill me now.

You are taken hostage as part of a bank robbery. When law enforcement refuses to meet the demands of the suspect, the suspect shoots you in the head to prove to the cops that he means business.

Actually, I would be killed because I threw a punch at the scumbag holding me hostage.

Plus my bank is in a grocery store.

I guess I don't see the point of risking my life for the money I have in the bank. Or, worse yet, someone else's money. All the money in the world in your bank account is useless if you're dead. But of course, with the money-driven world we have today, people do some pretty dumb stuff to 'protect' that money.

An improperly hung ceiling fan falls from above you while it's running. The fast-moving blades slice through your neck with ease, launching your head across the room.

Thank goodness the Mythbusters proved that a ceiling fan cannot decapitate a human being, however if spinning fast enough, it can break the neck...

While you're driving on the freeway, a van in front of you swerves, and a ladder strapped to the top of the van comes loose. The ladder crashes through your windshield at high speed and crushes your face.

I'm mostly upset that it's going to do damage to my trac!

I always new I would die that way.

While drunk with friends, you fall down a flight of stairs and break your neck. Thinking you've simply passed out, your friends ignore your lifeless body for hours.

You are mauled to death by a rabid pitbull.

oh puhlease! I'll probably fall off the edge of the Grand Canyon first :)

Hey, I got Krash's prediction:

While driving, you attempt to beat a freight train and drive around the gates. Thanks to a miscalculation on your part, the train collides with your car and crushes your body. Your car (and your lifeless body) continue to be pushed for several hundred feet until the train comes to a stop.

Tiger,

It isn't so much about risking my life to save my money, it is risking my live to save my life. The attacks on September 11th strenghtend my view on that subject. Three planes crashed into buildings, one crashed in a field. The one that crashed in a field was the only one the hostages stood up for themselves. By doing that, they saved an unknown amount of people lives. Those that followed the orders of the terriorists, in a way, contributed to the death and destruction of many lives.

People, as a whole, are very strong. Enough people can overtake an army. Shove a gun to my head and I will do everything in my power to save my life. I won't stand back and hope they wont shoot me. I am not willing to take that chance. I will fight to protect myself and others.

Like I said, they can have all my money. It is insured by the FDIC (whatever good that will be if needed) so I don't care. I will do my part to protect a child that might be in that bank, or store, or restraunt, etc.

Exactly Caymen, anyone remember what I said about todays men? lol ;)

While on a boat, you slip and fall overboard. As you struggle to climb back in, your hands are chopped off by the motor's blades. You sink beneath the water as you bleed profusely.

HAH! I never go on boats.:D

The people aboard flight 93 were dead if they DIDN'T do anything. They, and any number of other people. By acting, they open up an oppurtunity to save not only themselves, but whomever else was at the terrorist's target. In this case, action is needed to possibly save their own life. That was a situation where standing down sealed your death.

In a hostage situation, the exact opposite is true. DON'T do anything and you are far more likely to walk home at the end of the day. Act, react, try to be a hero, etc, and you're as good as dead. A real man, BTW, Brandon, knows when to pick and choose his battles. When to stand down and when to fight. Ever hear a war story from a soldier who rushed headlong into an enemy stronghold while the rest of his company was pinned down? Nope, because they were shot and killed. However, the commrades keeping their head down in a foxhole can tell you what happened, because they knew it was more advetageous to stay low then be a hero and get killed. A dead hero helps no one.

A bank hostage situation is a bit different then having a gun to your head. Did anyone bother to read about Derek's friend who was carjacked? Is he less of a man for not fighting whilst having a gun pressed against his temple? Is he a coward for giving up what he had in order to preserve himself? No, he isn't. He knew what was good for him and chose not to do anything, and by doing so is alive to tell the story. Sometimes saving your own life, or anyone elses, means doing nothing at all. Because what's worse then bringing a knife to a gun fight? Forgetting your knife at home.

Mine was being mauled by a rabid pit bull...just so happens I have a pet pit bull...eep.

Great!!! now some ass smokes in my ST... no way jose...

"A lit cigarette is dropped in your car while you're driving. While you're attempting to pick it up, you veer into oncoming traffic. You are struck by a speeding truck and are killed instantly."
