I have seen these before, not this video, but mainly these are a hollowed out powerwheels body on a mini quad. I want to make one, but the trac comes first and I also have a Yamaha Rhino to tear up the snow with.

Can you say "Traumatic Brain Injury"?

No need to worry about that happening.

Especially with the dude who is driving and filming.:banghead:

The video title let me down--I expected it to be a modified Barbie Powerwheels Jeep vs a REAL corvette vs a REAL F150 vs a REAL mustang in the snow.

So basically these are just go-karts. I also expected some sort of super powerwheels car, with someone modifying it to be like a mini Tesla roadster--ie still an electric car. If it's just a conventional gas engine in a plastic body, it's no longer a powerwheels car.

I guess that much snow makes people a little crazy.

I agree. Many things can be done to a stock powerwheels vehicle to make them kind of quick. Simply adding another battery in series will double your voltage = double the fun, for 1/2 the time.

I would drive one. I'm probably a little more redneck than the average person on this forum, though.

I didn't say I wouldn't drive one

Though I'd be wearing a helmet. Also, I'd sign off on that school parking lot, but not the street. Not so much because of traffic, but because if you eff up you've just smashed into someone's ride. Vandalism sucks, intentional or not.

I had higher expectations.

Putting a powerwheels body onto a gas-powered quad & calling it a powerwheels ride is as bogus as when Ken Block put a Fiesta body on a RWD supercar and called it a Ford Fiesta.

Both were cool (one moreso than the other), but it's still a misnomer.

Hugh,

This really made me laugh as I was thinking the same thing about myself.

KL,

I completely agree with you, a powerwheel is a powerwheel, a quad is a quad. A quad with a power wheels body is a cool looking quad.
