P0171 Code -- hose

I've seen all the photos and checked mine today when the CEL came on. Yep, it's cracked.



Any suggestions on what to use for the replacement hose or is the dealer the better option?

Many people remove the hose and go to the local auto parts store and match it up with a heater hose. They are thicker and tougher. Should last forever by comparison...

THANKS! It sure looks like the Ford picked the wrong formula rubber for the application. Mine looked like it's been soak in solvent it's so squishy and fragile.

I went to the autoparts store "Help Parts brand" section and got a 5/8" heater hose elbow and some 5/8" heater hose, looks like the factory did it!!!!!
