Paint Overspray Removal ??

I have have a paint over spray problem on my ST. I have used Maguire's and Black Magic clay bars. It smooths the surface, but I can still see some paint over spray spots left.



What can I use to remove this ????

Thats the only thing I know of, maybe you need a little more elbow grease to get heavy overspray off?

It has worked for me with very light overspray.

Light over spray I have dealt with. I have tried the "elbow grease" thing and it did not work.

did you try the goof off ???



you can try nail polish remover...



IF all else fails, you have clearcoat on the truck.... Take some 1600 WET to it lightly and then immediately use polishing compound, Then wax..

TZ - no on the goof off. Nail polish remover will not hurt the clearcoat ??? I always polish after every attempt.

WD40?



After applying, make sure you rinse and clean off throughly, then re-wax.

C- Will WD40 desolve the pait over spray and not hurt the clear caot ???

Terry, you could try charcoal lighter fluid. I wiped brown over spray off of a white car, succesfuly. No ill effects to the clearcoat.

I have overspray on my back window. What can I do for that?

downsouth, a good new, sharp razor blade. You may have to use several as the cutting edge will get chiped. Hold it flat to glass and you wont have any scratches...

this may sound silly, but try it..it does not harm paint



bug be gone in the spray can. leave it sit for 5-10 mins.. then gently scrub off, with a soft scrub sponge.

wet sand with a really fine grit paper.



use a constant flow of water and gently sand it. stopping after a couple passes to check the progress.
