Painting center console

I bought carpet to put in my '01 Trac and I was thinking about spray painting the siver part of my center console while I have it out (it's pretty scratched up). Has anyone done this (painting console) and maybe have any pointers or advice. Thanks

Yup. Just take your time, prime it well, etc. It's pretty easy, but just be patient and you'll be happy with the results.

Pull it out, degrease, sand, prime, sand, prime again, let dry, then paint at least 3 coats, then clearcoat

You can also wet sand between each clear.
