Recent discussions on replacing the PCV valve reminded me that I should replace this since I have 134,000 miles on my 2001 ST. Went to Auto Zone and gave them the numbers for a fram or motorcraft and the gave me a Deutsch part number PCV231. U:(pon opening the box and seeing that there are two hoses and manual says one is a coolant line I have a hard time understanding why a coolant line is going into the valve cover through the PCV. .Can someone clarify that .

Thanks

It warms up the air that the pcv sucks in to engine..... Allowing for better burning of the gases...

Same reason some cars have coolant running through the throttle body.. But on hot days It can take a negative effect...
