I am having a hard time deciding on some rims for my Jeep and thought I'd ask some of you your opinions. I know there are some Photo Shop Guru's in here. Could I please get someone to photo shop two different sets of rims on my Jeep. Thank you VERY much. Also, does anyone know anything about the new Teflon rims from American Racing? Are they very durable?

I've seen those rims in person at a local Firestone. I like the idea of having rims that are easy to clean, but after seeing them up close, I'm not sold on them. I think they would begin to scratch up after a few times off-road just like those old pans do if you use metal spatulas.

REALLY quick & dirty chop to show you what the first wheel might look like....

I was thinking the same thing Nelson said... I'd imagine they would scratch easily.

Hmmmm, you are probably right. I didn't take that into consideration. Hell, I can't cook so I wouldn't have thought of that comparison. I bought the other set and have them in my living room and was having second thoughts. A pic with the rims on it would help me decide. I got a SCREAMIN deal on those too. If anyone needs rims, wheels, aftermarket stuff, I have a guy to go to. As a matter of fact, I'm trying to get him as a sponsor over her on MyST. He's the 25th largest supplier of American Racing wheels in the state of Michigan. I didn't think that was all that much untill I looked up all the dealers in this state. He does alot of E-bay stuff too.

Anyway, thanks for getting that pic up so quick. I was just unsure of a polished look on this Jeep. I wuold probably be better off though I guess. No finish to scratch off and I can handle oxidation easily. I'll look forward to the other pic as I can't do anything with the rims until next week when I get the $$ for the tires (33x12.50x15 BFG MT's).

Here it is with the chrome. I think the Teflon wheel really looks sharp. If you're still interested in them, you might just ask them if there's any special treatment done to the wheels to help keep them from scratching, or see if you can find someone else who's installed them & get their opinion.

Thanks for posting that for me. I like the darker looking rims too. However, Nelson pointed out something very true that I didn't really think about. There can't be much to keep these from scratching. I mean, light stuff probably won't scratch much, but where I'm taking this thing, it's bound to get scratched up. Hmmmmmmmmmm, the polished alum rims don't look too bad. I'd rather keep my stock rims, but it costs so much more darn money for tires in a 16" diameter than a 15. I have to have bigger tires, especially since I just put a 3.5 inch lift on it. I could clear 35's right now, but I don't want that high on a daily driver.

Why do people care about scratchs if they go off-road where any type of rim will get dinged up alittle? I just don't get it maybe someone can enlighten me. Just keep the stockers when you are on the road and the off-road rims on when you are off-roading if thats is an opition. If not get the black and suck it up baby! they look the best. :D

LOL! I'm not worried about scratches at all really. My stock rims are 16" and the tires are REALLY expensive when you get to sizes like 305/70/16, so two sets of rims is out of the question. I really like the look of the darker rims but I don't want to pay premium $$ for something that will get all scratched up. During this summer, I will end uip probably getting some cheap black steal rims that I can paint with a rattle can when they get scratched up and mount some boggers on em. As for now, I will keep the polished alum. wheels as I can buff out scratches. Ohh and as for your question, most off roaders don't care about scratches, but I'm still anally retentive.

 My old eyes can't see well enough to read that small print.

I'm not a big fan of stickers, but I'd put that one on mine. My brother owns an H3, and I would love to show up in his driveway with one of those H3 Rescue Team stickers. :D

Hey, thanks for the Photoshop help, I really appreciate it. I had my tires and wheels mounted yesterday. Heres the before the lift pic and after.
