Got my JDBox in today. For a "home made" product it looks good and seems very sturdy. I'm impressed. Here go some pics:

No, it didn't come with the cap. I included it in the pic for scale and garnish :p.

Looks great! Mine was alittle rough since it was his first he made. Let me tell you, it rocks!!! I've blown one speaker already. Luckily, it was still under warrenty and they replaced it. What sub are you putting in there? I know you'll love it. If you need any help shoot me an e-mail. Have fun.;)

Honestly, I went cheap. First I had a Legacy 8" Predator Series (800w) run by a Kenwood 600W amp. That's the one that blew in 2 weeks. They (Legacy/Pyramid) sent me a replacement (since the Predators are now extinct except on E-Bay) that is a Pyramid 500W Pro series (it's made for small non-vented enclosures) and let me tell you it kicks! Serious, well sounding bass. Now I listen to Heavy Metal and Rock. So it it running the "double bass" and handling it very well. Fit like a glove in the enclosure. You can get them on E-Bay for cheap and they are warrentied (if you get them new) for 1 year after purchace. Check it out unless you want to go with something more expensive. You want to keep the mounting depth at 3.5" or smaller which is hard to find, especially since most of the "higher market" sub makers aren't making 8" subs anymore. (at least that's what I was finding out);)

I have a JL 8w3 and it pounds. If u guys are looking for a high end 8" sub that can fit behind the seat I highly recommend this sub.
