2004 XLT - factory stereo with 6 cd changer, no sat radio, no rear seat audio controls.
It looks like my 2004 ST meets the tech requirements to use a PIE aux input module using the SAT button on my stereo. I had a 24 pin connector in the back of the headunit but the 16 pin socket was empty. The PIE instructiions mentions "IF" a 16 pin is present so I don't think it is needed for the aux to work. I hooked it up as directed but after reconnecting the battery when I press the SAT button the display reads NO SAT. Has anyone used the PIE AUX unit and have problems getting it to work? Reading the ford manual it says Sat radio is only available in the USA. I am in Canada, is it possible the SAT function may be disabled? Would it be worth trying to disconnect the battery for 10 minutes to reset?
