So has anybody ever had a pin hole in their intake? From what I can tell, just from watching the coolant spray out, it looks like its coming from the peice of plastic that the thermostat housing is mounted to. Its not the thermostat housing itself, its just alittle behind it where it drops down. Any help or adviced would be very helpful before I start tearing the top off the Trac. Thanks, Kenny

Maybe Im wrong saying intake. Is there such a thing as a lower thermostat housing?

Just replaced my "intake", almost guaranteed to be the lower t-stat housing separating at the seams. (RH144)

Either the two sensor holes are oversized, or my old o-rings were completely flattened in the new housing.

Make sure to get two new 9mm ID x 2.5mm thick o-rings, if you don't change the very overpriced sensors.

The o-rings and two seals were the only extra parts I needed, everything else looked good including hoses.

If you don't change them, you are guaranteed to have two sensor leaks. I used silicone temporarily.

Space was a little tight, just use the correct tools and be patient. Use the excellent link below. GL

Thats odd, mu.e only has 1 sensor, the right side has a plug in it. Where did you purchase the housing from? Thanks a bunch for that link, you couldnt of made it any eaiser.

Kenny- Yours should be the Motorcraft RH148 single sensor housing.

Use FordParts.com with your VIN to verify the correct part numbers, or call Torrie.

You may consider replacing the sensor, since you only have one.
