All Over the East Coast,
I''ve been dragging my feet, knowing they'd announce this sooner than later. #1 on the summer mod list. :)

Supposedly it's just a software upgrade to the Z1 and doesn't correct the problems that everyone has complained about. Talk on the avic forum is that Pioneer usually does their major upgrades every 2 years. Meaning the Z3 will be a hardware and software upgrade adressing the major complaints people have about the unit. Is nice to see it's retailing for about $150 less then the Z1

The Z2 is 100% software upgrade which is why the price is a bit less than the Z1. Even with the imperfections of the Z1, it's still a great unit and I don't think you can beat it for the price. Several other in dash units require purchaseing the navigation system as an option which drives the total cost of the other units way up.

I'm happy with my Z1. Does anyone know of the update will be available for us with the Z1's and will the ducati flasher still work?

What is the problem with the Z1?

Honestly, there are no problems, just areas for improvement just like we discuss everyday on here in regards to our Sport Tracs.

The Ducati flasher doesn't work on the current Z1's, it became obsolete almost 6 months ago when Pioneer made minor changes to the Z1. The flasher module is no longer needed, all you have to do is ground a lead on the wiring harness that Pioneer left open on the harness. I don't remember which pin# it is but there is a pin on the radio that does not have a wire for it in the Pioneer harness.
