"Play" in leftt front tire

With suspension unloaded (on a lift, hoist, etc...):Outside to Inside Diagnosis:



*Up, down, and all around movement: Wheel bearing/spindle wear or improper torque

of wheel bearing-to-spindle upon a re-assembly, for wear, or maintenance reasons...



*Up-Down (In-Out) movement: Ball-Joint issue, either upper or lower...



*Left-to Right Play Only: Tie-rod or Rack-and-Pinion Issue...

:angry: Took the ST to the dealer yesterday, explained the play in the tire. Suggested it could be the tire rod.



I get a call today that they could find nothing wrong!! :angry: I told them to jack it back up and take another lock!! WTF!!

 
Apparently the amount of play I had was within tolerances allowed, and they couldn't replicate the vibration. :wacko: Yeah right. It's VERY obvious around 60, but they only drove it for 1 mile, and didn't get on the expressway.



Who cares, I'm done with it ST is FOR SALE!
