With 89,000 miles on my '01 its starting to ping. I figure I should change the plugs and wires. Does anyone have any suggestions for spark plugs and wires?

Most here will say Motorcraft or Autolite Platinums. Myself and Mike L are using Bosche +2's and no problems for 25k+ miles. Haven't done my wires yet, but a sponsor here sells performance ones for the ST. Hope you don't have much trouble getting them out with that many miles on it. (are they OEM ones?)

Yes, the plugs and wires are OEM. Besides the K&N air filter, removal of the air silencer, synthetic oil, and replacement of the notorius cracked vacumn hose, I haven't done anything to the engine.

Be sure and take your time. You may have one or more "froze" in there. The pass. side ones are a Bear to get out, even at 25K miles like mine was at the time. I left alot of DNA on that side of the engine.
