if i'm not mistaken that was nick named the widowmaker

JD...yeah it wound real fast and had a lot of pull after 3000 RPM's. It was a real light frame and the 750 pulled even harder. A lot of power late in the band for both. The H2 750 just stood up late in 2nd gear once just as I was getting ready to hit 3rd and I had the front end dropped 2 inches and had clubman bars on it for weight transfer to the front. Neither the H1 or H2 handeled very well!

Hopefully I'll have a list as long as you guys! :driving:

I know, I know. I still have all the I.D. tags, V.I.N. plate and title upstiars in a box. I think I could track down where the motor and tranny are, I stored it at my cousins garage back in 2002 but not sure what he did with it, I know he sold the shell but not the motor.

I've seen the car (shell) on eBay three times over the years since 2002 and everytime I "just" bought a car or truck right before that. The shell still sits in the same condition it did when I let my cousins have it to restore it before they lost storage for it and ended up selling it to a 1st Gen Camaro collector up by Allentown, Pa..

I still have the pictures of the Camaro sitting in the dealers lot with all the other Camaro's back in 1969 too. Man I miss that car, I restored it and as I was restoring it a corperate guy from Chevy comes to my house and let's me know what I had. He told me he had a call from Luddy's Chevy asking for parts and read him the V.I.N., the next day he shows up at my place, said it was 1 of 27 with it's options made, only 3 left, mine included. He had a signed check from a corperate (Chevy) big wig for $20k as it sat. I said no thanks after he told me what it'd be worth fully restored, that's when it hit me what I had. I didn't know when I bought it.

I paid $750 for it from a co-worker back in 1998 for my 19th birthday. It was a wreck, literally, it had been rolled and summer-saulted twice buy the guy I bought it from. I spent every waking hour on it, when I wasn't at work I was working on it and had it road worthy in six months, Eben the guy I bought it from couldn't believe it could be brought back to life but I ressurected it. I still check eBay every once and awhile to see if it's on there. I wasn't planning on loosing it forever but like alot of you on here, things happen and we wish we would've made different choices. Life happens to the best of us.

:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::sad::sad::sad::sad::banghead::cry:

The numbers matching motor would be worth a small fortune to whomever had the body and was wanting to take to original. Heck, just the motor would be worth a small fortune to any upscale Chevy restorer.
