Power lost when breaking

My 04 lost power the other day when i pushed done on the breake and it completely died. It did start back up. Does anyone have any suggestions about why it may have happened.

Sounds like a posible vaccum leak. Check the vaccum hose to the brake booster. Also the check valve on the booster.

Where is that going to be located? Near the breaks right.

Under the hood behind the brake master cylinder is the booster. check the rubber hose for cracks and the check valve operation on the booster.
If all is well look into cleaning or replacing the IAC (idle air controler). Posisbly not catching the idle on deceleration, causing the engine to stall.
