President Gets Locked Out of the House

The "official" story is that the staff didn't know he was coming to work so soon after returning from his Spring Break jaunt down to Central/South America, so the doors were locked.



But was it really a case of Michelle being mad at him for something???:bwahaha:

Staff wasn't ready for his return

WASHINGTON, D.C. - President Barack Obama had to try a couple of doors at the White House before finally gaining access to the Oval Office on Wednesday.



Returning from a five-day trip to Latin America, video shows the president strolling up to french doors at the White House and trying the handle on a locked door. He appeared to be whistling as he made his way down to another set of doors that were open.



White House staff was apparently not informed that the President was coming back to work before his arrival.

That's great. So now we have another gaff to put up there with President Obama walking into the window trying to re-enter the White House after his smoke break, and smacking his head on Marine One trying to show off for the camera.



Too bad we'll probably never hear about this again, unlike the President Bush locked door in China incident, which still hasn't died.

Or a modern equivalent of Chevy Chase lampooning President Ford as a bumbling, clumsy oaf based on President Ford slipping on the Air Force One staircase one time.



Sadly, most folks remember Chase's caricature of President Ford as a klutz, never knowing that in actuality he was a star football player at the University of Michigan and turned down offers to go pro from the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers to go on to law school at Yale. Not only that, but he was a JV cheerleading coach at Yale, and was very adept at performing tucks and hand springs.



Clumsy klutz? I think not.
