Unfortunatly I have to change some pricing on my boxes. The only thing happening is that on dual boxes shipping is no longer included. UPS to send 35 lbs of wood is expensive. The single boxes will still include shipping.

Also I have decided to offer the center console box for sale. It's expensive I know, but there is a lot of work, time, and materials that go into building them. I'm going to offer them for $600 + Shipping. That does include painting (textured paint with clearcoat) and vinyling the armrest. So it will look very similar to the one I made myself.

As always if anyone has questions please let me know either here or [email protected]

Keep in mind that a portion of EVERY box sold is given right back to this site. I don't make boxes for anyone else besides this site. It is done as a service to the members. Not that I don't enjoy the extra money, but that really isn't the purpose.

Thanks for your interest and I look forward to any future buisness or even just answering questions. (I will give any and all information I can to someone who wants to construct the box themselves)

Let me be the first to say thank you for what your doing and I know IF I did not already have a dual box, I surely would purchase one from you.......:cool:

P.S The price increase is OK by me..... :)

Out of curiosity, how much is shipping for a dual 10-inch box? Roughly, of course... I know it differs depending on destination.

$150 + shipping seems like more than a fair price, regardless.

If UPS shipping is high try the bus lines they are alot cheaper than fedX or UPS and they goto every town in the country I us them alot to ship big and heavy Items through check them out

The box for the center console. a few questions.

1) could u make one with a 8" sub so that way both rear seats fold down all the way?

2) were does this go up to. My center console is one piece (at least it looks that way).

3) does your box come with the switches? or just the holes for them. I would want to put toggle switches there.

4) Can u get a full price with shipping to 07401, in NJ

thanks

Bahb shipping from Norfolk to Washington St. cost $38 for a dual 10 box. So that is coast to coast most others shouldn't be that much but again it gives an idea.

Steve,

#1 depends on how tall you are, but I'm just going to give the answer of no. The way that I made my console was so that my seat could be ALL the way back and not interfere with the speaker portion of the box. (I'm 6'4")

#2 It leaves a gap, just as the orginial bag lunch style center console did.

#3 The whole front section is up to the person I am building the box for, I didn't plan on including the switches, but if you pick them out specificly from someplace and it's no more than 3 I will include them. (assuming they are under lets say $5)

#4 This is an estimate for shipping but somewhere between $50-75 (I don't know the exact weight and the ups estimate isn't the most accurate I found from shipping the previous dual 10 box) So for right now the full price quote would be $675

Please feel free to email me if you are really interested and we can talk about some of the options/specifics

The other odd thing that I did was make LARGE cupholders. My wife and I both drink out of Nalgene bottles regularly so we wanted them to be able to fit those and also cans of soda. So I have flared cup holders. Depending on what you want it could be differant.

JD, just a thought / idea that might help with shipping.

Have you considered sending the boxes disassembled, as in a sub box kit? Like you send out the panels, cut, holed, everything you would do to assemble them, just dont nail, glue, finish with carpet etc...

Then you send along some instructions for assembly, which includes a list of materials needed to finish, and ship the pieces flat. It might save you on the shipping weight (as that includes dimensions (dim weight)), allow you to offer a lower price, save you some work, and allow the customer to finish with their own tastes.

Plus a lower price will make it more appealing, and bring in more frugal buyers. I wouldn't even bother sending the finishing items in a base kit, but maybe provide them on request with a kit upgrade $$.

I think you'll make a killing that way. Especially with the ease in shipping.

All of the boxes require some sort of fiberglass. Out of the realm of most or else they would just make it from scratch themselves.
