Problem with Child Locks

I have one of the rear doors that can't be opened from the inside. I think it's the child lock located in the door jamb area. I tried moving it from one position to the other and back, but it doesn't work. My kids are older now so I really don't need this annoyance. Has anybody had a similar problem and how was it fixed?

Sounds like it may be the plastic handles. The cheap plastic handle mechanism used to open the door from the inside are a pretty common problem on the ST. They were actually pretty easy to change. Do a search for additional information and how to change them. You can get the part at Ford for around 20 bucks or so (at least at the Fords here in Austin).
