Problems filling tank

Recently began having problems fueling 2003 Sport Trac. Get a blow-back, with considerable fuel stray and spillage. Dealer checked and found vent hose disconnected from splash apron and water in the vent hose. Dealer re-connected hose, and pumped water out of vent hose. Stopped problem temporarily but now problem has returned and when I filled it last:wub:, I got a bad blow-back and covered me with gas. Its like the gas is being pushed back under pressure.



Anyone experience the problem? Ideas on fix?

There is an actual recall for this hose. If it is dirty or plugged you will get exactly what you are experiencing.



They may have fixed the hose for your model year as far as the recall goes but the issue does still exist and needs to be serviced.
