FINALLY got a little extra cash and I plan on buying a new exhaust in the next week or so. I had made my mind up on the Gibson Swept Side but then I saw that EE also offers a similar exhaust by Magnaflow in my price range.

What are the pros and cons of an aluminized exhaust, and the pros and cons of a stainless exhaust? EE only has the Magnaflow in stainless, but Gibson has the single out in both.

Also, what are some of the best/cheapest places to buy either of these models online?

Thanks.

If you live where they salt the roads in the winter, the aluminized will rust a lot faster, or so I'm told. Don't know much about cold weather here.

Stainless is the way to go, You will never have to replace it again....

hmm, I'm gonna have to call Dave then. I forgot my discount. hehe

it's possible that he does, or does only on some items. It never hurts to ask.

Since you live in snow country, where they salt the roads...I would go with the stainless

I think Gibson also makes a stainless version for the Trac...I have the magnaflow...nice mellow roar at thottle up and quite in the cab at cruise....
