No where near as impressive as I thought it was going to be. My hopped up STA is significantly more impressive. However, I did drive one with the 3:55 and not a 3:92. I'm sure the difference would have been significant.

The Ram felt very slow. It did shift better. It felt like it took longer to rev in the lower speed/RPM range.

The steering was not has good. The body roll was significantly more noticible in the Ram than the STA.

After driving the STA for one year and ten months...the Ram felt massive.

The Ram quad cab rear seat was super tiny and paled in comparison to the comfort, leg room and design of the ST.

Apples to oranges.

Compared to my Suzuki Samurai, the Trac is very slow, shifts worse and takes longer to rev. The steering was not as good etc. etc.

What year Ram? The Ram is quite heavy. I used to think my ST was pretty quick -- until I recently bought an '09 Aspen 2wd w/Hemi. It's only 300# heavier than my ST, but rated 376/401 (stock). Sad to say, it will leave my ST (also 2wd, V8, a few bolt-ons) in the dust. The Hemi got a significant boost in 09. I have not driven a Ram.

The 3.92 rear axle helps. My wife's 4.7L Ram Quad Cab with the 3.92 rear axle is decently quick, even though it's smaller than the hemi. It has 315hp to the hemi's 345, so it's not that far off. The 2009 on up hemis are supposed to have 390hp, though.

The Ram does feel massive. Shoot, the Ram IS massive. That thing barely fits under the entrance to our garage, and the rear sticks out when the front is against the back wall! Can't shut the door behind it! My wife loves it because it's so high up. Maybe that's why she loves me, too!

Suzuki Samurai....my little brother has 3 ....including a LWB and one with a blower on it! Then he has a red tin top. I like them...especially the one with the blower...it is real sharp.

Any rate, i think the Sport Tracs are the perfect everyday truck for those who don't/can't afford both a car and a truck. I always wanted one and am 95 % happy with my '07 ST!

I don't think I took my foot off the floor in the 4 years I owned my Samuari.

It was on ON/OFF switch!

Best breaks and 4 wheel drive system I ever owned, would walk around other trucks off-road. Closer to a quad than a truck!

With power, it would have been amazing.
