question on iac motor cleaning

hi all!



in cleaning the iac motor chambers, can i spray the chambers with carb cleaner or do i just spray on the rag and wipe out the chambers... just want to make sure i dont break anything.

If your using a rubber safe cleaner then yes you can spray it in there, But most brake cleaners are not rubber safe...

... are carburator cleaners rubber safe?

Carb cleaners and Trottlebody cleaners are safe to use on the IAC.

I think what Todd is saying is not to use brake cleaner. I am going to use rubbing alcohol on mine. Then my hands will be bacteria free. :lol:
