Questionable Ebay Ad

I was browsing Harley's on ebay (just curious what they sold for, as the bf and I have been out motorcycle browsing). Came across this ad - extremely low Buy It Now. I'm sure it's not for real, but I emailed the guy for more info. What the heck huh?



Why would it be $4000 BIN... what do you guys think?

Seems fishy to me. Not only is it FUGLY, but what the hell is this "approved buyers only" crap. Is it on there to sell or to show off? It should be a classic, because I would hope Harley didn't make to many of these.

P.S.- also notice someone asked him the same question about the low BIN price and he didn't answer it to be placed on the ad. (or was it your question on there?)

That does sound to good to be true..as a special edition at that....I paid almost $4k for a new Harley in 1975...

Michelle- My hubby and I own a 2002 Road King police model. Harley shopping can be harmful to your health. The HD stands for Hundred Dollars plus in our book. If it's the motorcycle itself or the goodies that come after, nothing is given away. Oh, but bike riding is fun and a great way to spend time with the boyfriend. Good luck. You ran across a scam. They are there everyday until it is pulled. You can always find fairly new Harleys for a fourth of what they are worth on eBay, and they are always overseas.

They want you to wire money to them, and of course you'll never see anything. Many of the pictures, models and VIN's that you see have been copied from other auctions.

And, on top of that I am looking for about $2500 less than the flyer says...

I had sent an email to the email address that the guy stuck in the ad - this was his response. (Posted just for the "my God, what a scam!" aspect of it.) BTW, the hijacked seller lives about 10 miles from me. I tried to find his number in the phone book to warn him his account was stolen, but he wasn't listed. He's a retired man who sells classic Buick parts. (Dug that up on the web.)

Funny, out of boredom, I did a search on all motorcycles with a "BIN" in the subject line, and all were frauds. (2004 BMW for $4000? C'mon!) I'm becoming the fraudulent motorcycle police.. haha.. (reported them all)



It'd be interesting to see how many are left in a couple of hours.
