Rack and pinion

Hello everyone,

I hope someone can help me: my rack and pinion is shot and I need a rebuild one (or a rebuild kit to fix my old one). I checked locally (I live in Curacao) but a rebuild rack and pinion is over $600 at the parts store, a complete new one is even more expensive. I have a feeling that's a rip off, is there any place in the US I could order one for less from a reliable place? Hopefully someone can steer me in the right direction.

RockAuto has several choices. Prices (with core charge) range from $180-$270, not including shipping. Good luck - let us know if you're able to get it fixed.

Careful, there are two versions and the first one switched in '01 but does not correlate with the switch from Job 1 to Job 2. I think the cutoff is a build date of 4/00. Buying the wrong one isn't impossible to replace but I believe requires a new pressure line.
