Have been looking into replacing the shocks on my Gen1 for a while. Like the adjustment feature of the Rs9000XL Rancho shocks but they have always been so expensive. Rancho has a promotion going on where you get a $100 debit card for ordering 4....brings the price down a bit. Anyone have any opinion on the 9000XL or the RS5000?

Ihave the ranhco rsx on my '04, very pleased. They are made by teneco so are the monroe. The rsx is the same as monroe reflex. The rs5000 is the same as monroe sensatrac. The monroe brand is less$$. I would check that out.

I have a set of them on my '03 ST 4x4 w/ the MyRide Wireless remote system. Thier great shocks for all around diversity. I go offroading and tow alot with my truck and being able to stiffen or soften the shocks is awesome. Depending on what you use your ST for is the deciding factor, if you're just replacing them because the old ones are shot then save the money and go Eddie's route. JMO.

I just swapped out my stock shocks (70k miles) for the Rancho RS5000s three days ago. Ride is much improved, not harsh at all. I ordered mine from TruckAddOns.com. They were on sale with free shipping, plus the rebate. Worked out to be like $23 a shock I think?
