Went to the dealership to get the oil changed. After checking in with service rep guy he announced to the service guys to come up and bring back the Black Ford Ranger. This bothered me. Should I have said something?:lol:[Broken External Image]:

kinda scary. I would inquire about the filter part number to confirm. I was glad when i went to my local dealer, that the Service MGR started talking to me about Tracs cuz he bought an 07 himself. PHEW!!!

It's kind of scary. I actually bought my Trac at a dealer about 90 miles away because of the large selection and lower prices. However, for service I normally take it to my local dealership, which seemed okay until several months ago.

I went to pay for the service and the cashier told me to step out back, that they would bring my truck. About the time I stepped out, a white Mountaineer came driving up, the service guy got out grinning and said, "Here's your truck, sir." I advised him that the Mountaineer was not mine, that I had a Sport Trac and he said "Oh yeah, the green one." I then had to remind him that mine wasn't green, so on the third try he found mine and brought it out. Makes me wonder if they get the service orders mixed up.

No offense, but to a service tech once the last gen Trac is up on the rack there isn't much difference between the two. (puts on flame suit) :D

Those of you that are parents with two or more kids...a question. Did any of you ever call one of your kids by the wrong name?

And if so, does it mean you don't KNOW your kids?

Nuff said!

TJR,

speaking from experience, so what you are saying is that the Ranger and the Trac gives this guy a headache and he just messes up there names ;)

Yeah, that's exactly what I am saying. My dad always used to say about us kids that hey

"wouldn't pay a dime for another kid, but at the same time wouldn't take a million dollars for any one he already had!"

I have only had my ST for a couple months now and people are always calling it a Ranger and it does bug me a little. A few nights ago I was called out to back up another officer and I took the ST. We were looking for a person on foot. I drove around the neighborhood for a while. A State Trooper talked to a witness who said she saw a gray Ranger that drove into a business lot and turned around twice. The Trooper relayed this to several of us and for about 15 minutes we were looking for a gray ranger that might have picked this guy up, then it hit me, that was probably me in my silver ST that she saw. I felt pretty stupid, but I was just woken out of a dead sleep at 2am so you cant expect to be thinking that well. I just dont like to think of it as a Ranger I guess because that is what I had before I got the ST and I like the ST so much more even though I know they are very similar. On the other hand I also have had quite a few people ask me what kind of a vehicle it is and seem very interested in it, there are not very many ST's in my area.

When I bought my 03 Trac from the dealer everything went smoothly.

Until they did a follow up caLL and wanted to know how I liked my F 150?

I explained to them that i really didn't know as my Sport Trac hasn't grown up yet.

LOL ,They keep sending me coupons to service my F 150 go figure.

Gotta love the dealership.
