I have always had moisture or water in my high mount brake light. Anyone else having the same problem? Dealership said they would replace it at my cost.

Mike,

the light is a poor design. The gasket is set in almost 1/2 inch in from the edge of the light..

Water, dirt, dust, leaves, all sorts of junk will collect in there....

Best thing is to remove the light and clean it and re install it...

You could use some silly cone but then the gasket would get damaged...

OR You could run some of that self adhesive window foam around the underside of the light and re install. That might do the trick..

I get moisture in my passenger headlight during due point (occurs a lot in south Florida)... To fix it you just need to take the light out via the 2 screws and try to dismantle the reflector clean out all moisture with a microfiber cloth. then either

-A. inquire about getting a new o-ring seal or -B. try to re-seal yourself via silicone

*if you do try to remove moisture yourself do it on a non-humid dry day.
