Clunking in the drive line often indicates that the U-Joints are wearing and getting loose. The clunking is usually the first sign. Later it will start to w squeak or squawk when you drive down the road.

If you have a vise or some large C-clamps you can easily replace the U-Joints for about $20 each. I say U-Joints because if one goes bad, you may just as well replace them both )front and rear) since the other will usually go out fairly soon after the first.

This is an 07 with 2800 miles on it.

Only when putting it into reverse...........doesn't do it putting it in drive.

I do believe going back to the dealer and having it repaired under the warranty

will be your best bet. I do agree with Rich on the U-joints but the truck does have

low mileage. So if it was me I would bring it in to have it serviced.

Best of luck with it.

Also check the rear end fluid..

There was an issue with the slip yolk on the drive shaft lacking grease causing a clunk...

I have one, but it is ring and pinion slop... Nothing you can do but replace the parts on mine..

I have the same noise on my 07 4x4 v8 with 1404.00 miles. It may have to do with

the 07 having a carrier bearing. We do have a 60,000 mile warranty.
