Bought a 2005 Sport Trak in Sept 2004. Got the heavy duty sway bar within the first month. Had some creaking noise in 2005 and found out that Ford was replacing the end links for free. Took the Trak in and got the new end links put on at a local Ford dealer. Everything has been quiet and cool until about a week ago. The same creaking sound is back that I had before getting the end links replaced at the dealer. Is it time to lubricate the sway bar or the end links? I haven't checked the Ford Recall site but I would be surprised if they have anything out there about replacing the end links for free again...But you never know. I am wondering if there is fix or remedy I could try myself (eg spray some silicon or other lubricant on the end links) but I don't want to do something dumb before I have to take it to the shop and they tell me I made it worse etc...Any thoughts much appreciated as usual. PS My Trak has run fun otherwise and has been the perfect camping truck (tent camping) that was the main reason I bought it.

Spray down and lube your end links and the leaf springs. Those are two of the most common places to find that creaking noise. You may have to do it several more times, depending on how often it comes back.

Check your Leaf Spring's also... Had something similiar and it turned out my Leaf springs were broken... But if I had caught it earlier and had them looked at there would have been no issues.

Cheers
