Rear shackles broken

So both of my rear shackles are rusted through, one is almost completely broken off. Took it to my mechanic and they told me Ford doesn't make them any more and they have to be special ordered. Also, the bushings are shot. Just about 180,000 on the Trac now. Any suggestions, should I let them fix it?

If you can use a wrench or ratchet, you can definitely do this job yourself. Finding them might be another issue.

there is a vid on youtube from 1AAuto on how to do it. They also have the parts. Dont know about the bushings though

The bolts are going to have to be torched off, the rust is really bad. Saw the video and parts might venture into doing it my self although a lift would be really handy. Thanks for the replies.

Search my user name in the suspension forum, I did this last winter. I have the bushing part #s in there. If you need some new metric nuts I have some left, I had to buy a bag of 10 from McMaster Carr.
