Rear Window Problem

My rear window will not go all the way down. It will vent and go back up. I thought it was the switch. I bought a new switch and that was not the problem:angry:. Has anyone ever experienced this of know what the problem might be?

I had a bad rattle in the rear window when it was in the down position that was just fixed under warranty. The window had become detached from the track. I wonder whether you might be experiencing something similar that prevents your window from going all the way down?

No, It is in the track and the push to vent works fine. the switch does not work when it it is turned to the left.

I had the same problem- It's the regulator and it's not covered under the extended warranty unless you have the most expensive one- I paid them $90 to see what the problem was to find out they wouldn't cover it I hate ford warranties.

The part was $90 and it's pretty easy to change out but you need to get the reset/adjustment instructions from the dealer after you install it. I threw them out.

If you need the reset instructions I have them for the 2001 Window. I beleive they are the same.
